The night before a group of us were to meet for a new Bible study at my home, I had a dream. In the dream we were in a different house and I was trying to get the ladies’ attention; but there was a radio playing in the room where I was standing. When we found the radio it was built into the wall and we could not turn it off. Even when my friend and I removed it from the wall and unplugged it, it continued to play.

The list of synonyms for interference above offers us insight into the ways our adversary interferes with our relationship with God. Sometimes he just doesn’t stop talking--as with the radio--and we’re driven to distraction, unable to be quiet and to hear God’s voice.

The Holy Spirit is helping me detect my enemy’s interference so that I never have to be at the mercy of an unstoppable radio again.
